Dr. Grace Sim earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Doctor of Optometry (with Honours) from the University of Waterloo. During her studies, she served as president of the Waterloo VOSH Chapter (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She later supervised a service trip to rural areas of Senegal, providing essential eye care. Her commitment to global health and community service continues to this day.
Dr. Sim has a special interest in dry eye disease and myopia management, conditions she personally understands and is passionate about treating. She stays at the forefront of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and is dedicated to ongoing professional development.
Her background in psychology—particularly how we perceive and interpret the world around us—sparked her interest in optometry. A firm believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Sim takes time to educate her patients about their eye health and conditions.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys rock climbing, camping, yoga, playing music, and reading. She also loves discovering new local spots—so don’t hesitate to share your recommendations when you see her!
